AI Visibility (GEO)

GEO stands for "Generative Engine Optimization" -- an entirely new discipline. Instead of just being found on Google, the goal is to be recommended by AI systems. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI, Claude -- they all answer questions and recommend websites in the process. Are you being recommended?

The GEO Dashboard

The overview shows:

  • GEO Score – Your AI visibility score (average across all trackings)
  • Score Trend – Development over recent tracking periods
  • Crawlability – Can AI bots actually reach your website?
  • Recent Mentions – Where were you last mentioned by AI models?
  • Recent Queries – What questions were asked and what came back?

Tracking Prompts

The core of GEO: You define questions that arkmetis regularly asks across different AI models.

Examples:

  • "Best dentist in Vienna's 3rd district"
  • "Which agency makes great websites for doctors?"
  • "Recommendation for sustainable sportswear"

Creating Prompts

  1. Go to AI Visibility → Tracking Prompts
  2. Click "Add Prompt"
  3. Enter the question
  4. Choose a category: Brand, Product, Local, Service, or General
  5. Set the frequency: Daily, weekly, or monthly

Use AI suggestions: Not sure which prompts make sense? Click "Suggest Prompts" and arkmetis will analyze your project and suggest relevant questions (costs 1 credit).

Starting a Tracking

A tracking costs 2 credits and checks all active prompts across all AI models:

  1. Click "Start Tracking"
  2. arkmetis submits each question to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and others
  3. The responses are scanned for mentions of your website
  4. You see: Where were you mentioned? With what sentiment?

Mentions & Sentiment

Each mention is analyzed:

  • Positive – The AI actively recommends you
  • Neutral – You are mentioned but not evaluated
  • Negative – There is criticism (rare, but important to know)

Filter by AI model, sentiment, or time period to identify patterns.

Crawlability Analysis

Can AI bots actually read your website? arkmetis checks:

  • robots.txt – Are you accidentally blocking AI crawlers?
  • /ai.txt – Do you have an AI discovery file?
  • /llms.txt – Is there an LLM-specific description?
  • Individual Bots – Googlebot, ClaudeBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, etc.

GEO Page Audit

Beyond project-wide tracking, arkmetis can also check individual pages for GEO readiness. The GEO Page Audit analyzes 11 categories:

E-E-A-T, Citability, QA Structure, Freshness, Facts & Statistics, Discoverability, Extractability, Answer Readiness, Topical Authority, Brand Signals, and Multimodal.

Each category is weighted and combined into a page-specific GEO score.

Content Brief Generator

The Content Brief Generator analyzes your GEO gaps – queries where AI recommends your competitors but not you – and creates concrete action plans:

  • Gap Analysis – Which prompts surface competitors but not you?
  • Page-Specific Recommendations – Not just "add FAQ" but "add FAQ schema to /wordpress-maintenance"
  • Priority Ranking – High, Medium, Low based on impact potential
  • Content Types – FAQ, statistics, citations, schema, grounding pages, freshness
  • Executive Summary – Overview of the overall strategy

Content briefs can be exported as PDF – ideal for sharing with content teams or copywriters.

Tip: Content briefs use your Voice Profile and deliver recommendations in your brand's tone.

Competitors in the GEO Context

Under "Competitors," you can see how often your competition is mentioned in AI responses compared to you. This helps you understand where you need to catch up.
